Smitte | stop has been developed by the Ministry of Health and the Elderly in collaboration with the Danish Agency for Patient Safety, the Statens Serum Institut, the Danish Health and Medicines Authority and the Danish Digitization Agency.

The app Smitte |stop (infect | stop) gives us all the opportunity to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in Denmark. This app, together with the recommendations from the authorities, must help us take good care of each other while society reopens.

With Smitte |stop, you can help break the chains of infection. It allows you to be notified when you have been close to another user of the app who has received COVID-19. That way, you can quickly follow the recommendations of the health authorities and thereby break a possible chain of infection. You can notify other users of the app if you are tested positive. They cannot see who you are.

It is voluntary to download and use the app, but the more people who use it, the more chains of infection the app can help slow down. Read more about the app at: www.smittestop.dk.
